Who we are
Our website address is: https://www.berco-design.com.
Comments
When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, as well as your IP address and browser user agent, are collected to help us detect spam comments.
An anonymised string generated from your email address (also known as a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, we recommend avoiding images that contain embedded GPS coordinate data (EXIF data). Visitors to the website may be able to download and extract location data from such images.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our website, you may opt to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is solely for your convenience, so that you do not have to re-enter your details if you leave another comment at a later date. These cookies expire after one year.
When you visit the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.
When you log in, a number of cookies will be set to save your login information and display preferences. Login cookies expire after two days, and display option cookies after one year. If you select “Remember me”, your login cookie will be retained for two weeks. When you log out, your login cookie will be deleted.
When you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data. It simply records the ID of the post you have just edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this website may include embedded content (such as videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if you had visited those websites directly.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, and monitor your interactions with that embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to their website.
Use and transmission of your personal data
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Data retention
If you leave a comment, the comment and its associated metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognise and approve any subsequent comments rather than holding them in a moderation queue.
For accounts registered on our website (where applicable), we also store the personal data provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception of their username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.
Your rights over your data
If you have an account on this website, or have left comments, you may request an export file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You may also request the deletion of any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are required to retain for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Data transmission
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
